Winterim Requests Close Monday at 7:30am

Open requests for this year’s Winterim classes will close at 7:30am on Monday, September 22nd. If you have not yet made requests for Winterim this year, or if you need to make changes to your requests, please be sure to do so by 7:30am on Monday!

UPDATE for students planning to do Independent Winterims: We have made Independent Study available as an option for requests. If you are submitting an Independent Winterim request, please register for Independent Study as your FIRST choice class. Remember to get your application in to Mr. Simmons on Monday, September 22!

Please note: requesting a Winterim course does NOT guarantee a spot in that course. For this reason, it is important to choose at least one alternate that is different from your first-choice Winterim. (Duplicate requests will be deleted.) PowerSchool will allow you to choose up to two alternates, but you must make at least one alternate selection. We will make every effort to place you in your first-choice Winterim; if that class if full, we will try to place you in your selected alternate.

After open requests have closed, students will be registered for Winterim based on their requests, grade level priority, and any course pre-requisites. You will receive a notification of your Winterim placement by email on or before Thursday, September 25. Once you have received your notification email, you should turn in your parent and student contracts and pay your Winterim fee. The deadline for Winterim fees is Wednesday, October 1st.

    How To Request Winterim Classes
Please see our video that will walk you through how to request Winterim classes: Winterim Requests. You will need your PowerSchool student account information to log in – if you have forgotten your username or password, please come to the front desk and we will look it up for you.

    Winterim Catalog
Not sure which Winterim you want to take this year? Descriptions of this year’s Winterim offerings, as well as information about applying for an Independent Study Winterim, can be found on our website: 2015 Winterim Information.

This is your chance to meet with your counselor to discuss graduation progress and plans for after high school. Counselors are required to meet with EVERY SENIOR during this time. As always, parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their student. We will begin on Thursday, September 25 and go through Wednesday, October 15.
