Announcements and Info
Important Winterim/MSI Information
Schedule
Winterim begins on Monday, January 2nd. Classes will be in session from 9:00am to 2:00pm every day (including Fridays). Please plan on dropping off your students no earlier than 8:30am – before that time, there won’t be anyone here and the building will be locked, which means your student may be standing outside in the cold for a long time.
Lunch
Lunch during Winterim/MSI is from 11:15-11:45am. Pizza will not be offered during the Winterim term. We will have Gandolfo’s sandwiches available for purchase on Wednesdays as usual.
Uniforms
Students are required to wear their uniforms during Winterim and MSI, unless they are doing an activity that prohibits them from doing so. However, students do not need to wear their Full Dress uniforms on Mondays during the Winterim term.
Attendance
Winterim is a part of the Maeser curriculum and therefore attendance is taken and is required for credit. In order to receive credit for Winterim, which is a Maeser graduation requirement, students must participate and attend all classes during this time. Exemptions for vacations are not granted during the Winterim term due to the seat time required for credit. Please plan your vacations in accordance with our holiday break if at all possible.
Winterfest: Save the Date!
Winterfest will be held on Saturday, January 21st. Students can come set up their Winterfest projects at 9:00am and Winterfest will run from 11:00am to 1:00pm. All students should attend (think of this like the final exam for Winterim) and wear Full Dress Uniforms. Families are invited – we hope you will come to see the wonderful things our students will have accomplished!
