New Annual Testing Opt-Out Form
State SAGE testing will begin in English and Socratic classes on Monday, April 18th. If you choose to opt your student out of state testing, please be aware that the state now has a specific opt-out form we are required to collect from parents every year. The form needs to be turned in at the front office by no later than one day prior to the start of testing for the assessment for which you’re opting your student out. You can access a copy of the opt-out form here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-hXuLKjcNtANXBRWU1PVGZlSE0/view. Please note that while the state’s form allows you to opt your student out of the Civics Exam given to students in their US Government class, that exam is now required by state law for graduation, so if you opt your student out of the test, they will be unable to graduate from high school.
Questions?
If you have questions about the tests your student is scheduled to take this year, please contact Mrs. Myers at jennifer.myers@maeserprep.org.
